For renewal it demands current working certificate, proof of continuing education or in-service education along with the application. 1. Hi Ullas, I hope you are registered with Karnataka State Nursing Council, if so they will not renew your license unless you submit a current working experience from Karnataka state. If you are planning for a career abroad it is advisable to get registered with Kerala nursing council ( if you are from kerala, else in your state council) Because you may need to get an outstanding certificate for foreign nurses registration and must have a valid registration.

Now I would like to know whether if I need to renew my registration certificate? And if I need to renew, I only have my work visa as proof of experience or currently working document but I do not have any other experience certificate issued from the present working hospital. Please let me know what to be done.

    1. Hi, You don't need a renewal as it is clearly mentioned that it is a life long one. In case of any change in rule it will be announced by KSNC.

  14. Hi,

I completed my MSC nursing from RGUHS in 2010. I got my KNC registration done before I left to UAE. My MSC nursing KNC registration certificate says "3 years validity" and it expired in 2013. Iam currently working abroad and if I need to update my registration should I renew my MSC registration with KNC. For DHA and HAAD they do a PSV verfication and I prefer to be validated with my highest degree rather than BSC. Should I proceed for PSV or update my MSC nursing registration before I send for PSV. My BSC nursing registration is also from KNC but it says "life member". kindly advise.

    1. Hi Biji, If you want to do the formalities with MSc as the base, then it is better to renew your registration before starting the PSV.

    1. Hi, Some hospitals allow you to work with your parent registration, but some ask you to get registered under that council. It is always better to register with Goa Nursing Council because once you decide to go abroad, they may ask for a verification from the last worked state council. Another thing KNC is not renewing the registration for those candidates, they are working outside Karnataka. So it is always better to go for Goa Nursing Council registration.

    1. Hi Devi, as you are not working it is difficult to get the registration renewed. Do one thing, go personally to KSNC and meet the registrar and convey the need for registration renewal, she can help you in this matter. I don't have any other clues.

    1. Hi Anju, I am not so sure about West Bengal nursing council rules. If you take up an employment there you can register in that council for sure. It is better to contact the nursing council for a clear information.
