Procedures for Karnataka State Nursing Council Registration for Diploma , Bsc and Post Basic Bsc Nursing ( PB Bsc Nursing)
Indian nursing council has got state wise chapters in every state of India. If you happened to study in Karnataka , for your GNM / BSC nursing/Post Basic BSC Nursing you have to register with Karnataka State Nursing Council.
Likewise if you wish to work in any other state other than Karnataka - it is required of you to get registered with concerned State Nursing Council.
On successful completion of your nursing course from Karnataka state you can apply for the registration at KSNC. Having a knowledge regarding the procedure in advance will help you to reduce the stress and save your time. As I went to KSNC to do my registration I was totally unaware about the procedures, it put me in stress, and at the end I ended up exhausted. So i have decided to create this blog, through which at least I can guide a few of you. :)
If you happened to study your Post Basic Bsc Nursing ( PB. Bsc) in Karnataka and the Diploma in some other state, you need to register for both Diploma and PB.Bsc Nursing. In that case you should take a challan for Rs. 1000/- and should keep another set of copy of your certificates as mentioned. Another important thing is that you should get a NOC ( No Objection certificate) from the concerned state, where you completed your GNM. ( my friend told me that she did her registration with out NOC but it seems to be there can be a delay in issuing certificate)
Certificates needed for Karnataka State Nursing Council Registration
Attested Copy Of
- Provisional Degree Certificate
- Course Completion Certificate
- Mark lists
- Plus 2 Certificate/ Higher secondary Certificate
- S.S.L.C / 10th
- Passport size photo- 2
A challan for Rs. 500/- should be taken from Central Bank Of India, Gandhi Nagar Branch, Bangalore. Either you can collect the challan form from the Karnataka State Nursing Council or directly from the bank there.
Make sure that you have all the necessary documents with you before going to KSNC. Remember you should go yourself , they won't accept a second person behalf of you, as i was told. Although they suppose to accept the authorisation letter from the candidate and the authorised person should be able to do the registration on behalf of the candidate given that he/she has all the above said documents with them. You can confirm it by making a phone call to the registrar.
Let start the formalities
Let start the formalities
When you enter inside the office, a person will be there on your right side, tell him/her the purpose of your visit. He/she will verify all your original documents and direct you to next section. (get a challan form from him/her if you haven't taken a challan yet, get it done and come back, bank is with in 500 meters from KSNC)
In the next counter on the opposite side, he/ she will give the application form to be filled up and ask you to take one large envelope and small plastic zip pouch from her table, If you have to register for both GNM and PB. Bsc then grab two set of it and go to the next room on the opposite side.
Here you should submit all your original documents along with the photo copies,Challan and passport size photos, in the envelop they have given. Before that write your address clearly on the envelop including your contact number (Make sure to staple all the original certificates together). Assigned person will check your documents and the details will be entered in a register, the number given in the register is your Registration number:).
You will be asked to write your registration number in the area which they have stamped (on the back of your certificates), after that you can submit all your documents in the counter outside of Registrar's cabin, there you will get back all your original documents. Verify whether you have received back all your original certificates.
This is the end of your registration process, KSNC will send you the certificate by post in 30-45 days.
In case of any delay you can call up and ask for it.
Note: You don't need to get the certificates attested by a gazetted officer, my principal did it for me.
Documents Needed for GNM registration for PB. Bsc candidate
- State Nursing Council Registration from the state in which you have completed your Diploma
- Diploma certificate
- 12th Certificate
- S.S.L.C/ 10th certificate
- Passport size photos- 2 ( get additional plastic pouch for this photos )
- Application form to be filled.
So at the beginning itself get two application forms from the counter, one for Diploma and one for Degree.........:)
can u pls say whats the procedure for registering in karnataka snc for Msc nursing...?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteSame procedure as above . You have to also include BSc Nursing Degree Copies and Registration in the application.
Hii Anna. I want to renew my knc registration which is expired. And I m working in Maharashtra since more than 2 years. I don't have a Maharashtra state council registration too.. Now I went to do my Maharashtra registration they asked me to renew my knc first. How can I renew my knc registration with out a still working certificate of Karnataka
DeleteHi, as per rule KSNC will not renew your certificate unless you are working in Karnataka, so it is better to go to the council and make a request to registrar as it is needed for your reciprocal registration, they may help you.
DeleteHi Anna,
DeleteMy sister has completed her PB BSc in Bangalore. Currently she is working in Oman. Is it possible to register in KSNC if the candidate is working abroad.
Regards,
Aneesh
Hi Anna,do u have any contact who can help to renew knc registration for who is working abroad. Like a agent, in Bangalore
DeleteHi, Sorry I cant help you in this matter.
DeleteHey Anna its great post. its helped lot my sister to apply karnataka SNC. Thanks Lot
ReplyDeleteThanks...
DeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteMy wife is a registered nurse of UP state medical faculty. Now she want to work in Bangalore for that she need KNC certificate. Is it possible to get KNC certificate for her? If yes please do le me know the procedure.
Thanks
Yes Akshay, she can work in Bangalore, for that she need to register with KNC. To get the registration she should produce her UP Nursing council registration along with an NOC from the council. Procedures are same as KNC registration.
ReplyDeletehow many days it take to get registrated
DeleteHi Shwetha, it takes 30- 45 days for registration.
DeleteHi Anna, My wife studied bsc nursing in karnataka and done registration in KNC. Now she is working in chennai and for that she needed tamilnadu nursing council registration. She got NOC from KNC and now tamilnadu nursing council is rejecting her application every time and they says the documents submitted are not sufficient. Is there any possibility to cancel the NOC from KNC and retain the KNC registration? Please reply............
ReplyDeleteHi Aswin , please contact Tamilnadu Nursing Council to get a list of required documents and resubmit your application, there is no way that they can reject the application if the documents are complete. if the problem remain, it is good to get a written acknowledgement from TNC on reason for not accepting the application. Then you can contact KNC, they will help you in solving the issue.
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, My wife has completed her GNM in Aug., 2002 from K. T. G. School of Nursing, Banglore. She has Life Member'ship of The Karnataka State Nursing Council. Now to apply for Canada PR (Permanent Resident) application, we need Credential Assessment of education certificate at (WES) World Education Service. We will be very much thankful to you, if you can guide us to get it done, as we are residing in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
ReplyDeleteWES is independent organisation that is appointed by Canada migration to evaluate educational credentials of the prospective candidates for canada migration. You just have to submit the education credentials in the prescribed form of WES , and pay the fee. The rest will be done by them. They have their methodology and system to get it assessed . Just drop a mail for WES , they will guide you.
DeleteHi anna. I am working as un registerd nurse in Singapore. But now my employer offering me a chance to become a registrd nurse( staff nurse). So I should do register in Singapore nursing council. But my Karnataka registration validity had been end last year. So can i renew my registration? Without working in that state?
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, to my knowledge it is not necessary to work in karnataka to renew your registration. As it is your parent council, they should renew your licence each time as prescribed.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wrong info indeed. The latest changes in rules are in such a way that once Karnataka Registration is expired (even if its the parent council), the candidate can renew it only if he/she is working is Karnataka State. I had the same situation and I got this info from Karnataka Nursing Council website. Atlast I had to register in Kerala (Kerala does not need a kerala work experience). Also, we have to surrender the original karnataka registration to the kerala council while collecting the Kerala registration. I did all these and I am at Canada now
DeleteHi Alvin , thank you for pointing it out. I have already updated.
Deletecan u guide me how to change my registration from tnc to knc plz tell me the new procedure
ReplyDeleteYOu can't change your TNC to KNC registration, instead you can get a new registration with KNC. For that you should get an NOC from your parent council. Procedure for registration are same as above.
ReplyDeleteHii Sister my name is dhyan pradeep from chennai.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know if i had registered in tnc and if i like to work in Bangalore will they permit me to work in Bangalore with tnc registration so by that time i can register with knc ?
Hi Dhyan, It is mandatory to get registered in KNC to work in Karnataka, even though some of the hospitals will allow employment provided that the KNC registration will be done without any delay.
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, My sister's registration is expired and she is in USA so It is very difficult for her to come India for renew registration. Can you guide me further ?
ReplyDeleteHi Pritesh, To renew the registration, she can give an authorization to you and you can approach KNC. They will accept it.
DeleteHi Anna, What is the process for international verification?
ReplyDeleteHi please go through the article.
Deletehow can i take duplicat of knc registration
ReplyDeleteHI Anju,
Deleteplease visit the following link
http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2015/07/get-duplicate-kerala-nursing-registration-certificate.html
Hi Anju, Sorry i can't help you in this matter now, anyway i will try to get the information and update it in the site. Mean time you can make a call to KNC and they will guide in the process. I will appreciate if you can share the information with us through this site, it may help many.....
ReplyDeleteHi Anna
ReplyDeleteI did Bsc Nursing from Tamil Nadu and then did MSc Nursing from Andra Pradesh. Before the Msc results were out, I got a job in Bangalore. Hence I took KNC registration
surrendering my TNC registration in Karnataka Nurisng Coucil office.
Now, The Andra Pradesh Nursing council (APNMC) needs NOC from "TNC" for MSc Registration, But TNC is demanding their original BSc registraion for NOC.
Is there any way by which I can get my TNC registration which I surrendered in KNC, atleast for a short period of time ?
Thank you
Hi Merlin,
DeleteTry contacting KNC and get a letter from them in the official letterhead and signed by registrar both addressing TNC and APNMC . Based on the letter you may be able to solve the issue trying your luck first with TNC then APNMC. Share your experience here once you are done !
Hi Anna, I'm Shenju. My wife having KNC Registration. I heard a news that the registration renewal required. Is it true? If it is true what is the procedure. Now we planning to register kerala nursing council. What we have to do?
ReplyDeletePlz contact the Karnataka nursing council about the renewal. Or try contacting Kerala nursing council . As per my knowledge you just have to surrender your present karnataka nursing registration with kerala nursing registration council and they will issue a new registration. But it is better contacting them before hand.
Deletei lost my GNM diploma certificate, how can i get duplicate certificate?plz rply
ReplyDeletePlease go through the article in the blog.
DeleteHi Anna my wife is a bsc nurse who had done her bsc nursing from karnataka...and a life time member in karnataka nursing registration council and member of kerala nursing council also currently she is in Oman and its the time to renew her kerala registration..Is it compulsary to renew her kerala registration now itself or can we do it in future because we are not planning to work in kerala in the near future, please reply?
ReplyDeleteHi Kiran, to my knowledge it is not necessary to renew her kerala registration unless she is planning to work in kerala.
DeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteHow do I get international verification from KNC? Do we have to go there? Can we call them and they will sent it for us? Please advise
Geetha
Hi Geetha, please go through this link,http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2014/11/how-to-get-good-standing-certificate.html.
DeleteHai Anna,
ReplyDeleteMy wife and myself are working in kolkata. Our registration is expired on June 2013.During this period we tried for the P.BSc.But due to some unavoidable circumstances,we left the course. Can you guide us for the renewal of our registration in KNC?
Hi Sijo, registration procedures will be the same, there is no objection in renewing the diploma registration on the basis of your PBBSc admission, unless there is any other issues related to that.
DeleteI m hvin madhya pradesh registration ...nw plannin to work in karnataka....n wan to get registered dere....bt for gettin NOC ...MP Council needs a dispatch number frm KNC which wil indicate i wan registration in KNC...plz help
ReplyDeleteHi Bincya, I am really sorry, i cant help you in this matter, i will try to get the details and post it in my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Anna I have passed my diploma in nursing 2002 from Karnataka and having a life long registration certificate. But recently I heard that there is a requirement for licence renewal every 5 years. Is it true? If so what is the procedure for that?
ReplyDeleteHi Mahesh, Previously some of the nursing council were giving life time registration, then they changed to a 5 yr registration which needs to renew each time. If your registration is a life long one, you don't have to renew it.
DeleteHI ANNA,i have to do Kerala nursing registration but the problem is my Karnataka nursing registration validity is got over. so to get an non objection certificate is it necessary to renew the Karnataka registration first
ReplyDeleteHi Jino, to get an NOC you should have a valid registration and for Kerala registration you must submit your original Karnataka registration in KNC ( Kerala)
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sorry your comment got removed accidentally, as far as I know, the registration has to be renewed every 5 yrs, and the details are going to update in the blog. I will give a link to that later.
DeletePls see the article - http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2015/07/renewal-of--karnataka-state-nursing.html, it is clearly stated in the application form that the renewal is applicable only for those who are working in Karnataka. So in your case there is no need for renewal.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your valuable information
DeleteThanks Anna.- By Sijo
ReplyDeletehi Anna. lovely page.jus a query.my license expires this month.i have studied from.karnataka and presently working in bahrain. need to apply for my bahrain license. is there a new rule that to get the KNC license renewed you presently need to be working in karnataka? reply awaited
ReplyDeleteThank u Carolin, I am not sure whether it is a new rule, but it is clearly stated in the renewal application form that renewal is applicable only for those who are working in Karnataka. To renew the registration you should submit current working certificate from Karnataka and proof of continuing education, which is not possible for you. to see the application pls go through this link, i have attached a model of application form. http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2015/07/renewal-karnataka-state-nursing-registration.html
DeleteBut then KNC being my primary council shouldn't they be renewing my license irrespective of my working status in karnataka or not?
DeleteHi, I did my Bsc in karnataka and it is stamped on the certificate that " this certificate should be renewed once in 3 years, if you are working in Karnataka" So pls check your certificate too. Else you can make a call to KSNC.
DeleteMine only says' to be renewed once in 3 years'...anyways thanks a ton Anna. ..your blog is of big help.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteHai Anna,
ReplyDeleteMy wife is a Bsc nurse she completed her nursing in andhra pradesh and registered in kerala nursing council also and she worked in bangalore but she did not register there, now she attend one interview in qatar and they are asking bangalore registration.so kindly tell me how she can she take bangalore registration.
Hi, Sujitth, is she still working in Karnataka or somewhere else? If so she can apply for a reciprocal registration in Karnataka, for that she should get an NOC from Andra Pradesh Nursing Council, with out NOC also you can apply but it will take more time.
Deletehi i am also in the same situation.worked in west bengal bt did not get registered.i left my job in 2014.so can i go back and register now.
DeleteHi, Anju it depends on their rules and regulations. So pls contact the council.
DeleteHi, Miss Anna,
ReplyDeleteWhat all documents should be submitted to KSNC for foreign nurse license verification and how much DD amount?
Hi pls see the article, how to get a good standing certificate from KSNC/ its the same.
DeleteHi anna
ReplyDeleteI am a bsc nurse studied in karnataka. I registered in knc on 2011 jan . It has only 3 yrs of validity. So my reg got expired in 2014. Now i am moving to canada to work as a nurse. To work there i must be currently registered in karnataka. For that i have to renew my registration. But knc says that to renew reg i have to work in karnataka. That means renewal is applicable only for those who work in karnataka.
My question is am i still registered in knc as it is not cancelled. And is there any other options to renew my registration.??
Hi Neens,
DeleteDont worry, even if you don't renew your registration, you are still registered under KSNC, no other options to renew it, so proceed with your Canada program. Good luck
Thanks a ton anna.
ReplyDeleterequirements to get NOC in karnataka
ReplyDeletereply me fast
Hi muthu lakshmi, iam so sorry, don't have exact information. Usually you need to submit either the copy or original of your Karnataka registration, then an age proof certificate, usually 10th certificate is enough and of course you have to pay a fee.
Deletehi Anna
ReplyDeleteI have completed my BSc nursing in Goa and i am registered in Maharastra nursing council. Now i have completed my MSc nursing in Karnataka. I do not indend to work in Karnataka. Do i still need to register in KNC?? I do not know what to do. I plan to work in Maharastra only. Please advice me here...
Hi Danila, you must register your MSc degree with Karnataka nursing council as it is your primary council, with out KSNC registration you can't register your degree in other states.
DeleteCould you let me know whether I need NOC from MNC to register under KNC for MSc nursing ?? Is this mandatory? If so is there any means by which i can get this done online? or do i need to go to MNC Mulund?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your advice.
If you have a NOC, you will get the registration in 45 days, with out NOC also you can apply for registration but it make take more time. Few of my friends got registration from KNC with out NOC.
DeleteDear Anna,
ReplyDeletePlease tell me the procedure and documents should submit for fresher staff nurse, and how many days it takes to complete all the formalities
Hi Muthu Kumar, I guess you asked about the formalities for registration, if so pls go through the post.
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, im saveetha, I hv completed B.Sc nursing in Karnataka, I need to register in Tamilnadu, is it compulsory to submit NOC from KNC to TNC. Plz reply mam.
ReplyDeleteHi Saveetha, you must get an NOC from KSNC for TNC registration

ReplyDeleteMy wife worked in kolkata and has registration in West Bengal. To work in bangalore she has to get karnatak registration ...got it..but is NOC is must to get Karnataka registration .She other all original documents..
and is this Karnataka office is open on Saturday also?
Hi Bamdeb Ghosh, KNC is giving registration with out NOC also, but pls make sure though a call as she is registered in West Bengal. It is open on Saturdays except on holidays.
DeleteThanks for your information. One thing , you meant to say before i go there i need to call KNC office and make sure without NOC is also acceptable or not.
DeleteHi, yes, it is always better to confirm as they change their practice every now and then. They used to give registration with out NOC for the candidates from Andra and Kerala, but I am not sure about your state.
DeleteGood luck
Hey Anna, another query. .to be renewing my registration with KNC, what are the documents I'd need? Also specify if they need to be attested or not.and is it possible for someone else to go on my behalf?a and the next thing I wanna know is, KNC is my primary council.and it expired last month.now i need to apply for my international license as I've been working in bahrain for 2 years now. will they allow me to renew KNC license if I'm not currently practicing in karnataka?cause as per what I have hears, they allow only people working I'm karnataka to renew license.and without renewing license they will not proceed with the international verification.please help. ..(ps:I hope my post ain't too confusing😆)
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, pls go through this post- http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2015/07/renewal-karnataka-state-nursing-registration.html . You can send some one behalf of you with an authorization letter. I hope that you are already registered with MOH of Bahrain as you are working there for 2 years, if not you can request to renew your KNC registration by explaining the need for an international licence, it is better to make a call to KNC. The registrar is a good lady, she will help you to solve this issue. Good luck
DeleteHey Anna. thanks for the prompt reply..The problem is no one answers the call at KNC. and I've still not registered at moh. they've told me only after I finish 2 years here I can.so I've jus finished 2 years and that's why need to apply for it.and in order to process my international verification I need to renew KNC license.and knc saying that I need to be working in karnataka and onyl then will they renew it for me.sucha hassle. .
DeleteHi Caroline, I would say that , please arrange to send someone on behalf you to KNC and try to work out a solution. As said earlier, Registrar is a good lady and try to meet her directly. I heard that it is very difficult to deal with other staff there in the council. Good luck
DeleteHey Anna. spoke to the registrar. Indeed is a very sweet lady.has asked me to call her back today evening. she'll discuss the scene with the case person and find a solution she says.thanks a ton to you.ypuve been of great help
DeleteGood Luck..
DeleteHi Anna
ReplyDeleteIt's commendable how you have replied every person and helped them.
I studied from karnataka and got my first registration from there but I worked in Uttrakhand and had my license renewed for Uttrakhand state now.
Now m getting my credentials verification for New York by cgfns and they have selected to verify my license from karnataka state and since then have sent 2 letters to the karnataka nursing board. The board has replied to none so far and they aren't picking the call whenever I try n I tried a lot. I m in newyork now so certainly can't go their in person but I asked my friend in Bangalore. I don't know what she has to say there, should she meet the registrar directly? If you can help me get the registrar's number, I would like to speak to her.
Please help
Thanks
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI m also goin to try calling on this number tonight. Are you in India? Did the knc people pick their call ??
DeleteHi Anna
ReplyDeleteSo my friend went there yesterday and they asked her about authorization form and what date the letter was sent from cgfns. As you would know cgfns doesn't disclose such dates but they have sent 2 letters already asking for verification. Also cgfns states that the concerned person shouldn't interfere between the institutes, as in how our transcripts are directly sent from college to cgfns. It's not suppose to go through ur to cgfns.
Anyhow now m confused and really helpless. What should I do? What's the solution here?
Can u tell me the process of getting verification from knc? If I m not working in karnataka does that mean I can just submit the challan and copy of the registration?
Hi Nancy, I am really sorry to hear this. I m not sure whether they will renew your registration with out an experience certificate from Karnataka. It is better to contact the registrar, and when you send some one behalf of you, make sure that they are firm enough to deal with the situation, i hope your friend met the registrar. If you have a Kerala registration it is easy to get verification, they don't let you struggle.
DeleteWow
ReplyDeleteYour number worked, I just spoke to her :) m gonna have to call her again tomorrow.
I hope everything works out now ..
Thanks a million Anna
I am Happy to hear it, anyway I am going to remove the number from the comment, so that no one misuse it.Congrats and good luck

ReplyDeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteOne of my friend has completed B'Sc from Maharashtra and last year she completed M'Sc from Bangalore. She applied for registration certificate in KNC in the month of April 2015 till date she has not got her certificates and people out there are not responsive when we ask them. Kindly advise as to she should get a NOC from Maharashtra nursing council and submit it to the KNC?
HI, What i understood is that your friend applied for KNC registration with out NOC and she did not received it till now. I dont know how they have accepted the application with out an NOC, if so they should give it by now. Can you please write in detail what really happened.
DeleteShe applied for registration certificate in the month of April 2015 in which she submitted all her documents and after 45 days she collected her documents too but when we asked about the registration certificate the officials told we still dint get a NOC from maharastra nursing council. Till now she hasn't got her registration certificate. Please advise needs to be done because the certificates is needed urgently.
DeleteHi Nahor, If so you should approach MNC and request for an NOC, they will send it directly to KNC in a week. For that she may need to submit her original Bsc. Registration at MNC.
ReplyDeleteThank u so much anna. She did as you advised.
ReplyDeleteHI ANNA

But if you need it to be renewed for international licence tell your brother to meet the registrar personally. He should take the authorization letter behalf you. For procedures please see this post ( http://nursehow.blogspot.in/2015/07/renewal-karnataka-state-nursing-registration.html )

Hi anna, vineela here..... I completed my bsc nursing in karnataka and have 2 yrs of work experience and now am planning to do my msc nursing in Andhra Pradesh, now my question is I need to register as a RN in andhra Pradesh before I join in msc?
ReplyDeleteHi Vineela, there is no need to register with AP nursing council now, You can do it after completion of your Msc.
DeleteHello Anna,
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty good work what you are doing. I need to ask you a doubt that I did my MSc nursing in 2010 and got the KNC registration which does not have a life long valid stamp. Is that ok for an MAc registration,?
Hi Teenu, Thank you for compliment, I hope you mean Midwifery accreditation council by MAc, else pls leave a reply. If so you need to have a valid license, it doesnt mean life long. At the time of registration you should produce a valid one.
ReplyDeleteHii Anna

Hi , you mean you have submitted your KNC in TNC, if so i think you have to approach the KNC to get a duplicate registration again.
DeleteActually I am already submitted my knc in Karnataka only.so now how to get duplicate registration
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I dont have exact idea, anyway i will try to get back to you. Mean time you can make a call to KNC to know the procedure. I hope if you submit the TNC registration in KNC they may give back your KNC.
Deletehi Anna.i have completed bsc nursing in 2005 n got knc registraion... n after that i joined msc n completed in 2013....as i am from nepal....knc did not issue msc registration....n now i want to migrate to australia..they want parent license to proceed the procedure otherwise they do not validate our degree, so we nepalese are suffering alot n it seems we have wasted our time n money.. n our mistake was to study in india....i want to know have they changed any rule to nepalese or any other procedure to get knc license or any letter.....please guide me i am hopeless
ReplyDeleteHi Susma
DeleteI will get back to you in few days. I will try o help you.
Hi Susma, what I came to know is candidates from Nepal and other countries are not given registration unless they are on a job visa in India. This rule has passed by INC. Another option is to get a citizenship in India, then you can apply for registration.
Deletehi madam ,r u in online.plzz tel me about eligebility for renewal of karnataka nursing Rigistrat
ReplyDeleteion
pls see the post " how to renew Karnataka Nursing Council Registration".
DeleteAre international students not allowed to get registration even though they complete their course from Karnataka state colleges??
ReplyDeleteHi Bhishma, I am so sorry to inform you that as per current rule international students are not given registration unless they are on a job visa in India. This was passed in the year 2014 by INC. see the link
DeleteSo what is the use of studying there? If I study there and not get registered from INC then I wont be allowed to get registered in any other nursing council abroad.
DeleteHi Bhishma, the only thing you can do is, "raise this issue to your government, they should come up with a solution either by allowing you to register there or by getting it done from India"
DeleteHi Anna We called the knc.but not attended the calls. What we are do?do u got the idea for getting Karnataka registration return back.
ReplyDeleteHi Achu, sorry I cant help you in this matter, you should go to KNC with your certificates and they will help you to solve this issue.
Deletehi i want to renew my bsc license for international purpose.... in australia they are asking for primary license though i have license from nepal nursing council....primary license(license from where we have completed our nursing)....can i renew my license i donot want to work in india.....or r they giving any equivalency certificate????
ReplyDeleteHi, Susma, they will not renew your license unless you are working in India, so you can ask for an equivalency certificate from the council.
DeleteHai Anna..
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing good. I got my Nursing registration in 2011 from KNC and its expired. I'm in Canada. Is there any way to do Online registration. I need it to be renewed before getting into Canadian nursing system.
I appreciate if you can help with this matter.
Thanks
Hi Jaison, If KNC means Kerala Nursing Council, then you can renew it online, but if it is Karnataka Nursing council, as per current rule, you can get it renewed if you are currently working in Karnataka, but few of my blog readers got it done by contacting the registrar directly.
DeleteHi Aneesh,
ReplyDelete"My sister has completed her PB BSc in Bangalore. Currently she is working in Oman. Is it possible to register in KSNC if the candidate is working abroad."

DeleteHii Anna...i completed my B.Sc Nursing and registered under karnataka state nursing council in 2012 and got expired this year. Actually iam planning to write RN in USA but before that i should do my credential evaluation through CGFNS.org...But in the form they asked me about my registration and i have options like inactive ,active, expired or lifetime.....but iam confused...i have kerala registration too...Bit i think they need verification from parent registration council....so what should i do ?? Which option i should select? Can you please help me out???
ReplyDeleteHi Bisha, I think it is better to renew your Karnataka registration but it is not easy as you are not working in Karnataka. The best thing you can do is to meet the registrar in person, she can help you in this matter( you can send some one behalf of you). If you choose expired option, they may ask for a valid one. Else you can apply with Kerala registration, I think that would be fine.
DeleteHello anna...My name is maveen and I have been working in Apollo hospital Hyderabad till December 25th and last few months I was preparing for ielts.I didn't registered in AP nursing council when I was working there instead I used my Karnataka nursing council registration certificate .Now I would like to apply for Ireland but few agencies told me Adhra Pradesh nursing council registration is mandatory... and my whole experience may not be vallid what I should do,kindly help me..
ReplyDeleteHi Maveen, As far as I knew, for international license application they demand for a valid registration from the parent council. If there is a different opinion, you can check it in the Ireland nursing board site. Good luck
DeleteSo you mean Karnataka nursing council registration is enough( where I have completed my nursing studies) Thanks a lot anna
ReplyDeleteI hope so Maveen, Good luck :)
DeleteI anna.i name subh from delhi.i was completed my gnm from hnrc.and pcbsc from karnatka. I want my pcbsc registration but I dont want to cancil my gnm registration. Is it possible. Plz help me
ReplyDeleteHi Shubh, No one will cancel your HNRC or GNM registration. You will have GNM registration from KSNC and HNRC. If they do not give NOC, you can apply for KSNC registration with out NOC, they are doing it. But it may take more than 45 days. So try it.
Deletei completed my GNM from karnataka and and not registered my self in KNC and now i am wrking in haryana, can i get registration certificate from Hryana Nurses council directly or i must registered myself from Karnataka Nurses council
ReplyDeleteHi Rajan, You will not get a reciprocal registration from another state with out parent council registration, so you should get KNC registration before you apply for Haryana registration.
Deletehi anna I am saroj I have done GNM from UP & PBBSc. nursing from Bangalore and I have KNC registration and also I have taken my migration certificate from KNC. Now I want to do job in UP . will I have to get also NOC certificate from KNC ?? If yes then what is the procedure & any one my relatives can go to collect my NOC or I have to go.
ReplyDeleteHi saroj, usually most of the state nursing councils ask for an NOC for reciprocal registration, I am not sure about UP nursing council. You can not use migration certificate, it is used for higher study purpose. So just confirm with UP nursing council whether they need an NOC, some will do with out NOC.
DeleteHi Anna
ReplyDeleteI need registration verification from karnataka for my nclex rn exam.Presently there is no one to submit my application directly to council. So my question is, am i able to apply in any other manner? waiting for your reply.thank you
Hi Ann, Usually they accept direct applications, but if you cant send some one behalf of you, then send your application by post with all the required documents and fee. Pls make sure as I am not so convinced about the Karnataka Nursing council routines.
DeleteHi i am a GNM nurse. Presently working in bangalore. I have life member registration . Do i need to renew it as i am working in that state
ReplyDeleteHi Vipin, you don't need to renew your registration for now, KSNC will give a notice in case if they want the candidate to renew the registration. You can check the council website occasionally for any info.

ReplyDeleteHi Jijo, I hope that you are registered under Karnataka Nursing Council, please be specific while you comment. If so yo can approach KSNC with your original documeents and they will attest the mark sheets for you, but it will be send directly to the desired authority. I am xtremely sorry I cant help you with the procedure for NCLEX.

ReplyDeleteHiResmy, I really wanted to help you but unfortunately I am not so sure about the KSNC procedure. Anyway it is a long procedure, you must do certain formalities like media advertising and police verification. For an idea pls go through this posts- http://nursehow.blogspot.com/2015/07/get-duplicate-kerala-nursing-registration-certificate.html and http://nursehow.blogspot.com/2015/07/duplicate-copy-maharashtra-nursing-council-registration.html . I will try to get back with clear info.

DeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteMy wife having Kerala registration and she like to work in Karnataka. For registering in Karnataka we have applied for NOC from Kerala council, they received our application and updates us they will be forwarding NOC to Karnataka Concil. Ask us to call after one week to get NOC number. Is NOC number is sufficient to register in Karnataka Concil? Or we have to submit the NOC certificate in original?.
Thanks in Advance
Aneeshkumar
Hi Aneesh, We just need NOC number and date of issue, KNC will directly send the NOC to KSNC.
DeleteThank Anna.. I will try to post my experience once i done.
ReplyDeletehi anna.. i have completed my bsc nursing last year 2014. but due to some personal reasons i was not able to register under knc. now will there be any problem in registration? within how much days the registration to be done after successful completion of bsc nursing? iam really worried
ReplyDeleteHI, Don't worry you can do the registration, but there will be an additional fee as fine. Rest of the procedures are same.
DeleteHi Anna...,
ReplyDeletei did my B.Sc nursing from Karnataka. I need to do karnataka registration. With the net copy of the marklist published can i do the registration? And when the results are out, i need to go to my college to get NOC, right?
Hi Ann, You can't do registration with online mark sheets, you should have original mark lists and provisional degree certificate and other documents. You dont need an NOC but need a Course completion certificate from the college. pls read the article for further information.
DeleteHi anna I am jenifer I have cancelled by karnataka nursing registration and again re opened and back of my certificate cancelled seal is there but there is no re opened seal and it's writen re opened by pen is it any problems will come in future if it's writen in pen
ReplyDeleteHi Jenifer, we all know that a simple writing with out a valid stamp is not acceptable, is it written at the back of the certificate or in front? But when there is a verification, there won't be an issue as it is there in the KSNC list. You would have confirmed it with the council while you got it done.
DeleteHello Anna,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all i want to congratulate you for the commendable work that you are doing. The information is extremely helpful. I had a query about sending validation of registration license from Karnataka nursing council to CGFNS.If i send a friend to the nursing council with all the necessary documents , authorization letter and required fee, how do i make sure that they send in the documents to CGFNS located in Philadelphia by air mail?
Any response would be highly appreciated. Thanks and regards
Sitara Nair.
Hi Sitara, Sorry for late response. You can send some one behalf of you to do the process. You ask for an acknowledgement receipt from KNC to make sure that it has reached to concerned authority. Usually they will do it with out much delay.
DeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteMy is completed GNM and PB Bsc from Jharkhand in 2015, and she want to work in karnataka bangalore hospital, they are asking for KNC registration mandatory , So how we will get the KNC registration without canceling the jharkhanad registration as soon as possible or how much time it will take to KNC reg. Also we don't want to cancel the Jharkhand reg. It would be great pleasure for us if you provide guidance, and where we need to go KNC registration. Thanks In Advance,
Hi, As per current rule we are not allowed to hold more than one registration at a time. When you apply for KSNC registration, they will get your Jharkhand registration but it will not get cancelled. May be in future you can cancel your KSNC to get back the parent registration. Anyway just make sure before you start the process, as it is a new change.
DeleteHiii anna , how are you? I have studied diploma and post bsc at karnataka. But I have 2 yrs and 4months experience under MNC.i did temporary registration in Maharashtra, but I did not receive any certificate from the council. Now iam looking for Australian registration , for that I need good standing from Mnc. How can I get it ? Hope u can help me
ReplyDeleteHi Alby, This is the problem with most of the nurses in India, they wont do reciprocal registrations at the employed state, later it will lead to many issues. As you have a temporary registration under MNC, they should give a GSC. Usually you must submit a copy of your registration along with application, as it is not available please check with the council for the formalities. Try to share the information, it may help many.
